Thomas Alost earned a B.S. in zoology and his M.D. at Louisiana State University. He then completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Charity Hospital of Louisiana in New Orleans. Dr. Alost is licensed to practice in the states of Texas and Louisiana. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Dr. Alost was given an Excellence Award for Medical Quality by the Columbia Medical Center – West Medical Staff. His current hospital appointments include Providence Memorial Hospital, Las Palmas Medical Center, De Sol Medical Center, Sierra Medical Center and Rio Vista Rehab Hospital.

His professional memberships include the American Medical Association, the American College of Sports Medicine, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Texas Medical Association, and El Paso County Medical Society.
