Luis Gomez, M.D. - Colon and Rectal Surgery

Luis Gomez graduated from the University of Texas in El Paso with a B.S. in biology before attending the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He completed a general surgery residency at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Gomez was also awarded a colon and rectal fellowship at the University of Illinois/Carle Foundation Clinic. He is licensed to practice medicine in Texas and Illinois, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Gomez is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. During his residency, he was recognized as the Outstanding Teaching Resident and as Outstanding Clinical Senior Resident.

His professional memberships include the El Paso County Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Gomez is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
