Meet Our Clinical Manager

Carol Fortin

Carol has more than 30 years of nursing experience and more than 20 years experience working in the operating room. She is a Registered Nurse and has worked as a director of an orthopedic/neurosurgical unit and as a clinical coordinator of neurosurgery. She assisted with the implementation of a neurosurgery program at two of the local hospitals. In addition to her experience in the operating room, Carol has experience in the field of pain management including spinal cord stimulation and implantable pumps for both chronic and malignant pain.

Carol is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing located in North Providence, Rhode Island. She re-located to El Paso with her husband and two sons in 1979. She has been a member of AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses) since 1985. She received her certification as a Perioperative Nurse in 1987.

Carol joined the staff of Paso del Norte Surgery Center in May of 2000 as the Operating Room Supervisor. She became the Clinical Manger at Paso del Norte in December 2003. She is proud of her staff and views them as the best of the best in El Paso.
